I willingly pay my fees to be a member of Koptalk as, compared to many other sites, it is well run, easy to navigate and, in my opinion, value for my money. Not only do I get all the essential football news, both before and after it hits the press, but also a wide range of non football subjects for information and debate.
For me, it’s like a pub environment, a Liverpool local, providing company, chat, humour, arguments with familiar names rather than faces, and any fallouts are quickly dealt with in an adult manner. It is often self moderating as members wont tolerate abuse. I have experienced sites that resemble a zoo, but Koptalk is a bit more grown up and gives me somewhere to meet like-minded Liverpool supporters from all over the world.
It may not suit everyone, and each to their own, but the people whose contribution I enjoy (but don’t always agree with) have mostly remained for quite a while, so I don’t think my opinions are far from the general consensus. Occasionally people get banned, but generally they deserve it and are seldom missed, just like in any well run pub.
