I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and the accurate and informative news that you provide. My mates can’t believe some of the shit I tell them and a day later it will become official. I will definitely be joining the members section soon. Love your you tube posts as well!

We could have provided the app free of charge but we would have had to use advertising and we think that would spoil the appearance. Advertising would, we think, have provided more revenue but we’re more interested in something that looks good for you.

Push notifications are included in this app so that every news item etc will be pushed to your phone to alert you as soon as news breaks e.g. confirmed starting XI on match days!

As an unofficial Liverpool FC website we are limited with the content that we can provide without breaking rules. This works in our favour to an extent as we will concentrate on news and opinion which is what KOPTALK is about.

We won’t for example be packing the app with statistical content. In a later version we may expand a little but the idea was to make something simple and neat for our fans. The idea was to provide an app that will alert you to the latest LFC news as it happens, wherever you are.

An application exclusively for our members will follow later this year.

This evening we received several images from our designers of the proposed look and we have included 3 for you to have a nosey at.

These are NOT the final designs, they are just suggestions for us to consider. Please ignore the photos next to headlines etc as they have been added by the designers to fill space.

We will be making changes. For example, the first image, we don’t like the red at the top and the darker red underneath for the menu.

As a member you are entitled to free SMS alerts from KopTalk:

* Updates of major LFC news such as serious injury news, confirmed transfers

* Confirmed team and bench on all competitive first team fixtures

* Half time scores from all competitive first team fixtures

* Full time scores from all competitive first team fixtures

SMS alerts are available worldwide but are subject to your carrier delivering them. Once included on the free service, if you do not receive alerts on match days for example, you should submit a support ticket by our support website at koptalk.info stating your username, mobile number including international dialing code and your carrier/network provider.

Every summer we update the database to remove former members and add new ones. If you join outside the summer it doesn’t matter, we will still add you to the database. Just contact support with the same information as detailed above.

Previously we had started the design process with another company but they started to adjust agreed costings so we terminated our relationship. Since then we’ve been trying to find someone that we felt could do the job.

We expect the design of our Liverpool FC news application to be completed around 6 weeks from now.

Having given it some thought, we’re going to make the app available for purchase only but without advertising. It would be easy to turn out a free app supported by ads but they can be quite off putting and they can spoil the appearance.

Version 1.0 of the KopTalk Liverpool FC News app will have:

* The latest Liverpool FC news with push notifications

* The latest editorial content with push notifications

* The latest video content from KopTalk along with other Liverpool FC videos fed from YouTube with push notifications

* A diary of events that all Liverpool FC fans need to know about e.g. televised games, press conferences and so on

* A link to our betting partner should you want a flutter on the Reds

Our next version will have a GPS locator that will tell you the distance from Anfield and other stadiums. We were going to include it in Version 1.0 but it would have taken longer and we want to get this out before the new season if possible.

Once concluded we hope to offer the app free of advertising and completely free of charge for iPhone users. An iPad app will then follow.

* Everyone has different opinions, and there is no hidden agenda. I’ve visited many other LFC forums, and each one has their own little agenda, they all sing from the same hymn sheet & anyone that dares to disagree will be publically slated. Koptalk is totally different, everyone has their own opinion, quite often people don’t agree, and this then creates a healthy mature debate (most of the time)

* Koptalk is very well run (ass licking the big man lol) any support tickets are always answered promptly, and the lovely Lucy never fails to sort things out quickly & properly & is a pleasure to deal with.

* Very useful insider info: Koptalk always seems to have it’s finger on the pulse re breaking news or insider info. Don’t get me wrong, not every insider is right 100% of the time, but 9/10 times you are fed information that is not readily available anywhere else, and is usually from a trusted source on the website. I’ve checked other forums, and never do they have such knowledge, they purely debate on hindsight & regurgitate what’s in the media. Many a time has something been published on Koptalk, only to follow in the press days later, not the other way round like other sites.

* The most impressive thing about Koptalk is the family community, I’ve never met anyone from the site in person, however you can’t help but feel part of a close community, and you always get respect when you post, even if your posts are completely clueless (I’ve posted a few such posts), you rarely get shot down, and if you are unfairly treated by another member, then the Mods will soon intervene, which makes is a nice place.

To summarise, I highly recommend Koptalk to any LFC fans who want to follow the Redmen & get the inside track on their beloved club. Not only can you keep up to date with what’s going on, you can be part of a massive fans community, were you can sit there for hours debating all that’s good & bad about LFC.

I think Koptalk is fantastic and I don’t know how I’d last a full days work without it!! (hopefully my boss doesn’t read this e-mail)
